Dr. Gloria Crosslin
Dr. Crosslin is Ms. Virginia World 202, representing the 60 and over age group. she is the founder and CEO of Mr. DC 2022 and beyond. She believes that communities are stronger when we work together.
The Purpose
The purpose of the Mr. DC charitable organization is to reframe the men of culture to enlighten the community to experience a new dynamic of men in our communities. You don't see many men in a positive role working as volunteers. The data statistics are 80/20 split with men wanting to give and do more. Mr. DC brings a sense of growth and empowerment to highlight a sect of the community to show that men are choosing to work in the community to build a fundamental value of 21-32-year-old males and even more over that age by being role models. Especially, at age 45 when men are then at midlife crisis, we are creating mentors and model men in modern society with 12 social community service platforms.

Mr. DC 2022 Yasir Bashir
Men want to be respected and look up to Yasir Bashir who is the current Mr. DC 2022. In fact, men have asked how they can represent success of men. The Mr. DC organization helps men who may or may not have been on that tract in life. Our platform is service. If you don’t win the crown, you’re not losing because you are helping to support a platform of service. If you win the crown then you are always Mr. DC.
Yasir Bashir chose Autism as his platform and he is their brand ambassador. He is passionate about the Autism Spectrum and taught us a lot. We can hear his passion in his voice and can see it through his model life. Winning is a gift from God because when we are building a strong family network by helping families-families helping families then we are a stronger network of families. That’s what Autism Awareness has taught us.
