This event is for coding beginners! It doesn't matter if you've never written a line of code in your life.
Event Details
Our amazing instructors will guide you through the three key building blocks of the modern web: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Join us for a day of learning – you'll be amazed at the amount of progress that you make in just one day!
Bring your laptop and energy, and we'll bring the rest! Please note that this event begins promptly at 10am and runs until 4pm with coffee and lunch provided.
9:30AM Doors open! Check in and grab some coffee.
10 - 11:30AM Workshop begins with an introduction to how the web works and an introduction to HTML. Plus, gain access to our proprietary learning platform, Learn.co!
11:30 - 12:20PM Introduction to CSS and introduction to Flatiron School's admissions process.
12:20 - 1:20PM We'll take a break for a catered lunch.
1:20 - 2PM Introduction to JavaScript and a game demo.
2 - 4PM Workshop continues with various demos and mini-competitions, including "Hack Twitter!"
4PM Closing remarks and an optional Q&A with our DC campus team.
