The National Shrine of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton is located in historic Emmitsburg, MD, a small town in the foothills of the beautiful Catoctin Mountain, part of the Blue Ridge Mountain chain. This was the home of Elizabeth Ann Seton from 1809 until her death in 1821. Her remains are entombed here in the Basilica that bears her name. Visitors from all walks of life are welcome to explore our grounds, tour the Basilica and her historic homes, and learn more about her in our museum. The museum and guided tours are free---there's no admission or tour fee.
