Fast Facts The Laurel Boys and Girls Club is the largest Boys and Girls Club in the State of Maryland with over 3500 members, which is located in the heart of Laurel, Maryland, a town with a rich history. The “Club” serves the community by offering affordable recreational and educational programs to families, providing summer camp to children who otherwise have no supervision, helping teens make responsible decisions and providing health and fitness classes to seniors and the community. The Laurel Boys and Girls Club reaches beyond Prince George’s County in offering vital programs. Some of its 3500 members reside in Howard County, Ann Arundel County and Montgomery County. The Laurel Boys and Girls Club is a unique resource with a remarkable impact, benefiting everyone who enters. Laurel Boys and Girls Club History The Laurel Boys and Girls Club has been a community service in Laurel since 1954. The club is one of the few Boys and Girls Club in Prince George’s County that has its own building. The “Club” 55,000 square foot facility was originally old Laurel High School, the first high school built in Prince George’s County. The “Club” has a history of supporting community organizations by providing space and/or fields to them at no cost.
