Hey everyone, My name is Kevin Becka and my wife, Sarah, and I run this small local business, The Crab Guy, MD. I have been on the local waters of the Chesapeake and its tributaries for 25 years with 15 of those years being a small commercial cabbing outfit. I have a vast knowledge of the local crab and seafood market. It is my goal to bring to you, the local consumer, the freshest Maryland Crabs, that I can get. At this time, I will not be selling any crabs from out of state and I also do not sell any crabs that are more than two days out of the water. I can offer a much more personal experience in my business than any of the local, much larger scale operations. I can offer you J.O. #2 crab seasoning with each sale, and local sweet corn on the cob when I can get it fresh picked. I will only offer the consumer the same quality crabs that I will place on my own families table. This is not my full time job, and I am a family man with a beautiful wife and son. I love hearing the stories from my customers of how they prepare their crabs and making the long standing Maryland tradition of the crab feast, a tradition that will stay alive. There is something special about being able to sit around a table with friends and family, while eating a meal that not only offers such a great crab, but also all the sounds from cracking claws, to the "oohhs" and "ahs" and "yum" that come from each person participating.
