Earlier this week, workers for nonunion restaurants at Disney Springs in Orlando announced a historic campaign to organize with Unite Here Local 737, a labor union that represents thousands of employees at Walt Disney World theme parks and hotels. While many of the employees at Disney World are already represented by a labor union, hundreds of others who work at subcontracted restaurants at Disney Springs, the theme park’s shopping and dining district, are not.
