3rd Annual NAACP Elder Empowerment Summit
Event Details
The purpose of the Summit is to ensure that residents are aware of and have access to pertinent resources and support services. The Summit includes important topics that will enable us to build the best age-friendly community in our region.
Among our list of distinguished presenting partners is Maryland State Delegate Terri Hill, who will discuss HB251, Aging-in-Place during the morning session. Our afternoon session will include presentations by the Howard County Office on Aging and Independence; Exercise Specialist, Malarie Burgess; retired body builder Ms. Ernestine Shepherd and Kim Burton, Director of Older Adult Programs for the Mental Health Association of Maryland.
