Artists & Makers Studios 1 and 2 Present Five Exhibits in Five Galleries at Two Locations for the Month of October
(Rockville, MD) – Artists & Makers Studios on Parklawn Drive and Wilkins Avenue in Rockville are featuring five exhibits at two locations with Parklawn solos for Jacqui Crocetta, Carol Moore Printmaking, and William Pierce, along with Wilkins solo exhibits for Jean Hirons and Marian Osher. These five exhibits will open First Friday festivities between 6-9pm on October 5th and will showcase resident artists’ open studios for browsing as well.

Rockville, MD 20852 “A Colorist’s DC” with Jean Hirons “Love the Brave World” with Marian Osher Artists & Makers Studios 2 12276/12280 Wilkins Avenue Rockville, MD 20852 Artists & Makers Studios 1 on Parklawn hosts an exhibition of the work of Jacqui Crocetta. The new project Delve will focus on the intersection of compassion and conviction. Carol Moore offers a selection of original hand-pulled Intaglio and Lithographic prints that strive to capture the essence of nature’s spirit. Will Pierce is bringing his portable peepholes to A&M. Dioramas designed to draw the viewer into an alternative space using found objects, optical illusions, and photography. These exhibits, along with Theremin music throughout the evening by Arthur Harrison in the artist hall as well as resident artists’ open studios will add to the experience. Additionally, A&M2 on Wilkins is proud to present a solo exhibit of pastel paintings by Jean Hirons – in recent years she has been painting the C&O Canal in Georgetown, the back alleys of Capitol Hill, and the colorful streets of Chinatown. Marian Osher celebrates and honors the 100th birthday year of her parents with an exhibition of lyrical, vibrant, textured acrylic paintings that respond to a selection of her mother's poetry. “The Color in Black & White” with the Montgomery County Camera Club member Neal Schlosburg, a new exhibit by the 21 member artists in Gallery 209 and resident artists’ open studios.
