Twenty five years since the passing of the great Eddie Kendrick, this holiday tribute concert in his honor will be held during the week of his birthday on December 17th. Jimi Dougans, the leader of Kendrick’s solo recording and touring band The Young Senators, will be the featured lead singer with a falsetto that is eerily similar to his dear friend Kendrick. Dougans will be joined by The Young Senators who are reloading with a brand new lineup of original members and talented new musicians and singers performing Kendrick’s greatest hits. The set list includes Kendrick’s solo hits with The Young Senators including “Keep On Truckin’”, “Boogie Down” and “Girl You Need A Change Of Mind” plus classic hits sung by Kendrick with The Temptations including “The Way You Do The Things You Do”, “Get Ready”, “The Girl’s Alright With Me”, “You’re My Everything” and “Just My Imagination.” As a special holiday treat, Dougans and The Young Senators will also perform popular Christmas songs sung by Kendrick with The Temptations including “Silent Night”, “My Christmas Tree” and more!

From 1960 until 1971, Kendrick was an original member and co-lead singer of The Temptations, one of the most popular and successful singing groups in music history, best known for their incredible lead singing, wonderful harmonies, sharp wardrobes and precise choreography. Kendrick left The Temptations in the early 1970’s to become a solo star with The Young Senators, the first outside band to record with a Motown act. Kendrick and The Young Senators had major success throughout the 1970’s with three number #1 smash hits, nine top 10 hits and twenty top 40 hits while touring all around the world. After Kendrick's death in 1992, Jimi Dougans and The Young Senators honored him by continuing to perform his music throughout the years in tribute to the legendary singer. Today, Dougans’ entertaining and inspiring performance of Kendrick’s greatest hits has audiences singing and dancing to Motown classics all night long!
